Drying machine/air mover

A drying machine, or air mover, is essentially a high-powered fan designed to move a large volume of air across the wet carpet surface.
This increased airflow accelerates the evaporation process, helping to quickly remove surface moisture from the carpet fibers.
It can be particularly useful in cases where there’s been a leak, spill, or following a standard wet carpet cleaning method like hot water extraction.

Dehumidifier

A dehumidifier removes moisture from the air, thereby reducing the overall humidity level in the room.
High humidity slows down carpet drying as the air is already saturated and can’t absorb much more moisture from the wet carpet.
By lowering the humidity, a dehumidifier creates a drier environment, allowing the carpet to release its moisture into the air more readily and therefore dry faster.
Dehumidifiers can also help prevent issues like mould and mildew growth, which can occur if carpets remain damp for extended periods.
